At present Australasians are wedded to the World War 2 mentality. The USA is the protective big brother and the Anglosaxons must stick together eagainst the avaricious Asian hordes. Those days are gone. Both Europe and the USA are in economic and military decline. Those old world empires are fading away. The future is the BRICS nations - especially China and India. That is where Australasia's future lies. Once Japan and Argentina join BRICS they will be followed by the rest of SE Asia. We need to be aboard that bus. We must escape the warring obsession of the Western nations. Once the US dollar loses its reserve currency status we will see a big shift in the economic balance of the world. China and Russia are not a military threat to us. They would prefer to do business with us. The present crop of politicians would not vote to join BRICS but the next generation will.
