Anyway - the point I was trying to make before I got sidetracked onto my BRICS hobbyhorse --------- China will soon become the worlds premier consumer of Lithium. China needs a stable secure supplier and at the moment that is South America. BRICS is China's major trading block and it makes sense to buy direct from another BRICS country and that will be Brazil (and perhaps Argentina). The Chinese economy is starting to stabilize after a rocky patch. The Brazilian lithium will come on stream in 2-3 years and this will be ideal for the coming demand from China. Australia has pissed the Chinese off with their nuclear submarine gambit and pro US stance. I think the Chinese may prefer to buy their minerals from South Amertica. It is high time Australia stopped all this anti Chinese bullshit and we should demand this from our politicians.
