I think any talk of M&A right now is pure speculation. It seems Chris Gale and Co. have their eyes set on going to all the way production.
Not super familiar with the LRS share register, but if someone has 10%+ of shares then a takeover can be blocked by that shareholder.
Would it offer upside in the short to medium term? Probably yes. But look at the antics of Gina and ALB and the like when they are on the cusp of 20% of shares held and it can all go to crap very quickly.
The best upside for long term shareholders if for LRS to become a producer in its own right IMHO.
