At the moment, Hybrids are the way to go. The main reason is good range and fuel efficiency. However EVs will be first choice within a few years. What's needed is widespread rapid charging stations and batteries that can be recharged to at least 80% within 5 minutes and give the car a range of 800+ km. These batteries will be available soon. It is easy and quick to build a charging station. This is not the case with petrol stations. Hybrids are in demand now but the future is EVs.
