FYI someone else put this together showing the value of LRS shares for different PLS share prices. Theoretically we are worth 20 - 20.5 cents a share at Fridays closing price of $2.9 for PLS.

However, our close at 19 cents represents a 5% discount to future value due to time value and I guess some kind of risk discount for the chance that the bid somehow doesn’t go through.

TBH, if the PLS bid became 0.09-0.11 PLS shares for each LRS, I’d be over the moon (as it would mean LRS shares would be valued closer to 28-30 cents a share). But you are right in saying that if the PLS share price simply rises, that this would also be a positive upside for LRS holders (although any meaningful price rise for PLS seems pretty unlikely right now IMO).

im no expert on takeovers but trading at 5% discount to the eventual takeover price is relatively modest (which I assume means the market places a high confidence level on this deal being approved).

I’m using next week to weigh up the likelihood of a counter offer, but as I mentioned yesterday, I ultimately place very low probability on this being the case.
