I wouldn't over think it too much. While I and I'm sure many of the members here likely agree it's not an ideal deal on the surface, know one know's what things are like behind closed doors. It's likely a combination of looking out for their interests and doing a deal that is going to bring the project to fruitiion.

Given the climate, perhaps the alternative options carried significant risk and in this enviroment the risk factors might be too high to rely on certain outcomes so taking the sure thing to completely derisk the project was the best outcome. For the shareholders we're significantly derisked as well albeit having our multiples opportunity lost.

From here, it's a conversation more or less about what you'll be doing next. For me, it'll be playing out PLS and waiting for the price to recover. In the meantime I'll continue the DCA strategy.
