this is 110% correct companies are always not for sale until are.
Ltr did exactly the same didn't disclose even the first couple of non binding bids until it reached a level they felt was in the range of acceptable.
my concern is two fold the deal looks cheap for such a resource the premium is tiny and based on long term lows - using the 30 day weighted average when everyone know the sector is challenged, and the other issue is the all script offer of PLS the offer is already 10% less than we thought it would be because pls shares are well below the 2.85 the offer was based on
