forget about the West and China, go back supply and demand model. CATL's mine closure is just simple as CXO and Mt. Cattlin's closure. When demand is limit, it becomes oversupply, no one want to produce resource with loss, so those high cost mines shutdown first. Situation is still challenging, but holding a low cost assets is always the safest investent strategy.
