So, finally I had sometime to get through this report in detail. Pretty much they have review most of the mines around Mines Gerais and built a report with the ones containing lithium. Most of the report is focused in the areas now owned by Sigma Lithium. But there are 4/5 sites which are relevant to us.
I've mapped these mines in the Brazilian Mining System to see where are (and if any sits in our close to our tenements). The report also has a description with the characteristics but once again is well beyond my knowledge.
Below are the tenements reported by LRS as reference:
1 - Lavra do Zué/Dim (-16,11699651-42,11170692)
All the tenements with crossed are owned by LRS.
This is not in one of our tenements but is the east tenement we all want them to secure as per the current drilling program. We are assuming we should find more strikes deeper than 400m but seems there are more strikes at surface level too.
Below are the photos of the location provided in the report.
2 - Lavra Monte Alto 1 (-16,13405362-42,0857208)
I believe from an old announcement we got a small section of the tenement 830833/2001 - the bottom right corner, where is located one of the sites reported. Below are the pictures for this site:
3 - Lavra do Oscar (-16,12838832-42,05329314)
This site is north of one of our tenements, and it's quite close to the border. Pictures below:
4 - Lavra Monte Alto 2 (-16,13603282-42,0864953)
This site is very close to Monte Alto 1 - hence probably they secure only that portion of the tenement 830833/2011 early days on the exploration program. Below the pictures of the site:
You can find the full report with the description of each site here:
https://rigeo.cprm.gov.br/jspui/handle/doc/17451 > just look up for the name and will take them to the page with the details. Even if you don't speak any Portuguese you can easily pick the dimension of the strikes of spodumene reported.
So, even with the great results at Colina seems there is still a lot to uncover. I've check and I couldn't find anything regarding our tenements south of Salinas, not sure yet why they pick this land (I did found more sites in the report which are north of our Colina tenements).
On top of this we still have our tenements in Catamarca which I feel pretty confident after all the research I've done (and we used to have plenty of tenements in San Luis - Argentina which are promising to but are not mentioned anymore for some reason).
It feels like this will be huge!!!
