region, guaranteeing a long-term supply of raw materials, which guarantees the
economic and social sustainability of projects.

(International Energy Agency). Lithium-ion batteries are among the best
options to hold charge and deliver power efficiently, and lithium is unlikely to
be replaced by another material anytime soon, which explains the explosion in demand for
this mineral.
Increased demand for batteries will continue to be a strong driver of lithium consumption in the near future as lithium-ion battery technology is
widely used in the production of electric vehicles and mobile devices in a general (Statista, 2022). In this way, the Colina Lithium Project aims to
contribute to the verticalization of the ongoing national production chain, as well as contribute to making the State of Minas Gerais an important player in the
lithium production in the country.
