We come into this stock with our eyes wide open. It's a speculative play and like all explorers, it has a much higher risk profile than your everyday industrial stock.
But it also offers the chance of outsized gains.
Many of us with some grey in our hair will have invested in explorers that became superstars. You remember them fondly ... my first one was a PNG gold miner that went from 5 cents to over 70 cents before I cashed out.
Along the way we've invested in some shockers. This might be one of them ... but the signs suggest otherwise. From experience we know it takes time. And good results. And then more time before the price ignites.
Apart from what we find in the ground, we're also in good company - and that helps. Latin Resources is also the beneficiary when media giants like News Corp runs stories that report: "Since the PFS was released in June, Andromeda shares have more than quadrupled from 6c to 27c." People take notice of stories like that. They start looking for similar companies that haven't taken off yet. Those people aren't investing in any great way, otherwise the share price would be higher.
But they've got LRS on their watchlist, waiting for the drill results or JORC or whatever it is that tips them over the line.
It's never fun riding the price down. It's hard to remember to focus on "value" rather than day-to-day market "price".
But we signed up for this. The story hasn't changed - it's only improved, despite what the price does in the short term.
