You can sell between parties in an off market agreement and transfer shares from one account to another. in options case they close on the 9th but close trading on market on the 3rd. if you didn't have the funds to exercise and the SP went skyward you could transfer off market to someone that did have the funds to exercise.. Problem is finding that person
