    re: hard to go to 70 again? 2-3yrs maybe? Historically MBL has paid around about 65% of earnings as dividends. As such, if the Commsec EPS is right then 2008 dividend is more likely to be $2.75 than the $2.35. Yield will then be above 4% at current levels, not high but not bad.

    The key, as always, is to keep increasing the FUM. If the deals keep coming then the profits will keep rising. Given the size of the world, the increasing trend everywhere for governments to increasingly outsource infrastructure projects, and MBL's brilliance in seeing outside the square, no reason to believe the Commsec numbers won't be achieved. Might even prove to be conservative.
