Plenty of good posts contributing to our understanding of Merlin-1, thank you.
IMHO 88E is developing well and worth more than ever before.
When the takeover of XCD was first presented, my initial reaction was that 88E were diversifying too much too soon.
Then DW took an opportunity to add the proven oil rich leases to our XCD (now 88E subsidiary) leases.
How often is a 'first drill' 100% successful? Rare, never.
I am accepting that this new 88E region is oil rich and further development will be beneficial to uncovering it's full oil resource potential.
Very sad the team could not carry out an Oil Flow Test due to unforeseen circumstances. Investors should appreciate that working within the Arctic Circle is dangerous and difficult.
i am sure a next RNS on Merlin-1 will be positive.

What shareholders need is a plan on how and when 88E can monetize this project.
