Hi Domum.....actually I was not hinting that - though now that you mention it, it is an interesting thought. It would be in line with what GB did at Alkaid? However, I would think that, quite aside to whether Halliburton would be interested in doing something like this, DW/PB would not. After all, at this point in time we are a hell of a lot less speculative a prospect than GB was, and why create an additional buyout barrier for the eventual producer? I suspect that if we go the farm-in route for appraisal, it will be with the likely eventual producer.
My post was simply pointing out the likely oil services partner, given the speculation on the topic when DW announced they had been selected, but declined to nominate who. In reality, I suspect that the selection of who (between the 2 big guys on the slope), had no strategic implications and was purely transactional.
