I hate to say it, no offence Mal, but there is a little substance to his arguement.
That being the longer term peak global oil consumption.
At least one major has it pegged at mid 2020's.
Others have it at decades post this.
Whatever the case the viability of this play comes back to the fact that its onshore shale which is much more flexible in terms of turning wells on and off.
If the numbers stack up it'll go ahead.
Simple as that.
Im wondering tho if Mal was indeed thinking THIS far ahead !!!
