I don't think there is any debate to be had about electric cars effecting 88E. Oil will dominate the car industry for at least another 20 years, which is plenty of time for a major to come in and make billions of dollars.
If electric cars were going to boom tomorrow I'd be concerned, but electric cars taking significant market share is waaaay off yet.
