There are options though, I think @docmin24 has a form of hybrid trust that he said was CGT free.
New Zealand is CGT free, only a short flight and as an Australian you have all the rights to the financial system, not hard to open a share trading account there
As always speak to a professional, it's okay to avoid the ATO but not evade
