It's the right question to ask.

Fevertel is a complete symptoms tracker, whereas from the last time I checked Kinsa was a fever tracking device.

In short, Fevertel is feature richer than its competitors, so this is the unique selling point.

To expand, the reason why this is important is fever is only one piece of the covid puzzle; other symptoms have been neglected (at least according to Dan Andrews) and people continued to go to work & spread the virus.

If a workplace has the Fevertel monitoring system, then it may notice staff are showing common symptoms, and thereby highlights the need to proactively get the staff tested & separated from other staff members as well as the public until the test results come back.

If the system were to be picked up on a much wider scale, it could become a proactive tool for the Vic government to use in its testing as there is an opt in to pool community data. That is, the Vic government will see there is an area in the community showing common non fever symptoms~ so let's check this out before it's too late.

Under the current Vic government testing system, they are 2 days behind and 2 days is too late for an enemy that it is very hard to see. This presents an opportunity for the Vic government to monitor the spread of the virus closer to real time and direct its testing in a more effective targeted manner.

The answer to your question is it a proactive solution that saves time, and saving time saves lives & $.
