Geeeeez talk about a sponge for information, or you know more than me and I am being tested.

CDI (Camperdown Dairy International) or more appropriately EAT with MCG supposed backing, intended to demolish and the old Camperdown Cheese and Butter factory and build a large dairy processing facility to support powder products and infant formula. The cost was estimated to be at least $120m. Demolition has started albeit now with a title dispute over the purchase of the property and a rebuild hasn't started yet so CDI do other things in the meantime to generate revenue, contract milk supplier from what I have heard, bit like what UDP (United Dairy Power) did before it fell over insolvent. As far as I know CDI hasn't delivered anything to plan yet but it is a private company so best to go ask Phil McFarlane from EAT.

Is CDI a possible target for AHF? Not sure AHF shareholders would appreciate that one given history and the limited success of CDI to date but then again a half demolished old dairy factory with consents and a possible entre to powders and infant formula for AHF for whatever cost plus the $120m to build the factory over the next 12 months? Who knows what is going through the minds of those on the Board of AHF but there are substantially better ways to deploy shareholders funds in my view.

The value of the Manifold site in its current state would probably be sub-land value alone as their would be a cost to clean it up and EPA compliance and then the cost to do something with the land. Not sure anyone would want to take it on unless they could have the court case put to rest and be very clear on title ownership etc. and a pretty clear plan of intent for the land with a subsequent yield not able to be better sought by way of other sector investments.
