They don’t need to buy up to 20%. They just need to talk to big holders and get their written commitment that they’ll sell to ALB should the hostile bid succeed.
But I agree with the shorters likely pushing the SP up from here. So any Big holder doing it run the risk of missing out of a higher price to sell on market outright.
