A rule to prevent the auction shenanigans taking place could be as simple as any bid placed during the pre or post market auction cannot be altered for the duration of the auction. So those placing bids better make sure they mean it! No last second withdrawals or cancellations or alterations. Can anyone more experienced than me tell me why this wouldn't work?
