Exactly, lobbying for delays and if it works and governments go for it, it's very likely demand will slow.
There will definitely be some companies that will disappear as they can't compete on tech and price.
I think the thing with Korea and Japan is that they're democracy and not looking to exert dominance on the world. Also, I remember companies like Hyundai being poorly made and bad reputation back in the day. China EVs are already up there.
