The European Union has almost no choice but to follow the US tariffs now.
Otherwise, the European car market will be flooded with cheap Chinese EVs that are now unsaleable in the USA and the European automotive industry will be severely damaged!
In my opinion, a valid justification for high tariffs should also be the environmentally damaging Chinese production of their batteries, which does not fulfil any ESG criteria, in order to avoid any greenwashing...
