Shortman should be looked at as an indication of Traders volume who works the volatility ie are in an out in few hours from intraday movements
However most noobies in HC look at shortman numbers and think they are what is considered short figures portrayed in movies and YT morrons.
Hence the discrepancy between Shortman showing 6% or so and ASX showing less 0.18% on the same day.
