Not much. They are custodian shareholders for many other funds and banks, and because they act as investment managers, they often get the voting rights attached to the shares held under their custody. They have to declare this, which they do, because voting rights represent "controlling interest".
If investment decision is made by client giving custody to State Street it means the big end of town overall are accumulating and that is bullish and contributes to buying pressure (demand) which increases share price. If the decision to accumulate shares is made by State Street - it means they are bullish.
If you see their holdings drop, that's bearish. Then you can worry some - if you like.
