Let's wait and see what's coming next from our company.
We are producing, stockpiling, shipping to port, and will ship to overseas soon. Btw the plant is keep producing and producing. No ramp up problems, nothing. Everyone is very happy at KV site.
It's now 100% understood by all stakeholders (I hope including Hancock
) that LTR's plant is working perfectly and there is no financial problem.
We have the Tier-1 customers; LG, Tesla and Ford..
It's all good. Very good.
I wouldn't expect any better than this other than manipulated sp which I have no attention to and relation with.
Lithium price will explode all of a sudden one day. You will see..!
You will also see soon before the lithium price explodes that all of those BS forecaster instos (GS, JPM, MS, UBS, MQ etc) will change their tones in favour of lithium in coming days. They will start pumping lithium stocks
by inventing new positive forecasts. They will start making more and more substantial holder announcements on many lithium stocks soon while they publish new "nice and fancy" research reports. They will find 1000 reasons to do that.
Do Your Own Research and see what's coming..!I'd say I'll never believe what they say; positive or negative. I do my own research.
As I said before we all should do our own research.
We should follow the EV and battery sales reports and news, especially new EV truck, bus, minibus production and sales.
The stationary ESS (Energy storage systems) battery capacity is increasing exponentially. We must do more research work about it.
All that work will give you the idea about where the electrification is going to.
Even just look around when you are on the road, and try to see how many EVs around. For example last Saturday I saw so many Tesla's even some BYDs on the roads (I couldn't spot out the others). I felt there wasn't that much EVs around a month ago. The EV penetration is growing so rapidly, you can see the growth by your bare eyes.
Tesla's Model Y is now the best selling car in the world.
Let's not limit ourselves that electrification is being done only by what China is doing. That'd be very wrong. Tesla is doing a lot of work about the EVs (including cybertruck utes and semitrucks) and the battery manufacturing. Tesla's 4680 model cylindrical battery is a very good one. No LFP battery can compete with it. You will hear more about it later on.
Tesla's lithium hydroxide production plant in Texas is supposed to be finished now. Probably we will send our spod concentrate to Texas. That plant is a big one, enough to provide lithium for 50GWh battery capacity.
No doubt that the west will catch up with China. There are many other battery factories built and being built in the west, both in the US and the EU. Those battery factories can buy lithium carbonate from South America while building more lithium refineries for making lithium hydroxide for nickel based batteries. They will also need to built plants for making cathodes and other parts of batteries. But it will be done over the time in next couple of years.
The west will catch up with China, at least doing a lot to catch up. You can see that from Financial Times article as well.
THE ESG THING IS GETTING VERY IMPORTANT. My next post is going to be about ESG issues. That is getting very important for all EV and battery manufacturers. The whole lithium supply chain is going to be turning around ESG soon.
Actually the head post of this thread is about that.
The EU Battery Regulation sets out the rules for batteries and its production and pavıng the road for the lithium producers who do it in a sustainable way with high ESG credentials.By Benchmark Mineral Intelligence;
"
The supply of environmentally and socially responsible lithium is currently insufficient to meet demand".
"Sustainably sourced lithium is not enough to meet growing demand. By 2026, only 45% of lithium demand is expected to be met by recycled or sustainably mined lithium, dropping to 35% by 2030" LTR HAS THE HIGHEST ESG CREDENTIALS.
"EGS IS IN OUR DNA"II will talk about these issues more.
