i believe the shorts are a very convoluted web. It isn't as black and white as what the regulators would have us believe. There would be a mixture of short and long positions, and convulted relationships between different entities. It is amazing how takeover targets are often beaten down prior to the bid, but I guess you might say that is coincidental? The whole sector down.very hard to prove, but there are billions at stake. Maybe I'm being overly sceptical.
