Agree the blowout in construction costs would have been known to management for some time , funny how we are in the confession season that they now provide an update.
I don’t think we have heard the last of the construction blowouts as things will only get worse over the next 12 months and I doubt $40 million contingency will be remotely close to enough, coupled with rising interest rates cheap money is starting to be harder to get.
A great pity they are not 12 months further down the track like CXO.
Shorters are going to have a field day in the months ahead.
