I don't know what your problem is. There's a big difference between "I know what he wants" and "I think it would be hard to resist". Perhaps if you accept that you are more in the "I think" column and less in the "I know" column you would involve yourself in less flaming and be more amenable to listening to a broader range of perspectives.
