Hypothetically at this moment, I have $10 000 before EOFY of my hard earned to invest for either the short term or the long term. Is there any advantage between LTR or LSA? Are they ultimately the same investment as one is likely to become the other? Is there a quick gain in LSA, sell then purchase LTR. Wait for a likely takeover of LSA? Buy LTR now for more Spin Co and possible capital gain? A number of paths present long and short term or may be just pure speculation on my part. $10 000 against the mortgage might be better but where is the fun in that!!!! Any appropriate feedback appreciated.
