Thanks for doing calculations also, seem similar to mine. Yes the figures are mind boggling but I believe the cathode materials may be the first blockage as they are not so plentiful or in terrible places to mine. I think the cathode has already been or about to change on the Tesla. Cobalt is a hazadous material and may be a problem in recycling/manufacture/or in service. Magnesium which is more plentiful may be the next choice. It will be better if the pace of take up of electric vehicles slows so we do not end up with millions of hazadous 1000kg battery packs. This is an entirely new phase of mass power that needs a lot of thought.
