    I agree swaam non porking eating religions have it as a custom these days as it is nothing to do with religion. I shop in an area where a lot of folks are not supposed to eat pork, but guess what. I reckon bacon sarnies are on their menu.

    Religeous teachings are not factual - did you know for instance that Jesus (he who never was) was not regarded as divine (son of god) until a vote narrowly decided he was in the third century. The vote, in Rome, firmly established the christian religion which until then had been a nuisance which the Romans wanted to control; which they did via the vote on divinity and a vote on what should be in the New Testament and how it should be wordsmithed. Until then Jesus was just a legendary mortal prophet.
