Strategic Partnership and Location:
The strategic partner for hydroxide appears to be from South Korea or Japan. (POSCO?)
Meetings have already taken place in South Korea and Japan regarding potential partnerships for hydroxide.
Project Details:
Current resources can provide feed for 15 years.
Potential underground flagged at Seymour, which is part of the current MRE.
Scoping will use a 65% recovery rate, opting for a more realistic figure instead of the 72% from testing.
Plans are in place to conduct an NPV for Seymour and Concentrator, as well as an integrated NPV in the scoping study.
Company Operations:
Primero has staff members stationed at our Toronto office.
Luke spent a lot of time on the hydroxide front and seems close to finalising details.
The company has $17 million in the bank, which should sustain operations into the New Year.
The company is retaining 75% of offtake for potential strategic partners. While OEMs are interested, the preference is for a partner with experience in lithium conversion, ideally from the chemical business sector. Hinted that future funding would come from that.
SIF:
SIF's feedback: They commend the project and board. They were happy with the partnership with LG. They've hinted at potential funding for hydroxide post the release of the scoping study, suggesting that "all the pieces are starting to come into place over the next couple of weeks."
Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A):
The company has signed numerous NDAs, indicating significant interest.
The primary goal is to go into production, with the real value of the company seen in the downstream.
There's a strategy in place if the company is approached for a takeover.
