I think you are completely right. The Patent application now proves the technology works and a major LED company now has some serious interest in using it for a product or products. I guess they just have to determine - is it worth the investment and how much is that investment going to be. Up to BLG to name the price for using the RPCVD process to allow Lumileds to continue doing what they have "invented" using the RPCVD process.

What the Patent also says is Lumileds has pipped Veeco in the race for using this technology. Possibly cuts out the middle man (Veeco) in futureLED production. Might spur on Veeco to make a decision on their position with their collaboration.
