The whole myth of the full moon creating behavioural changes is based on the moons gravitational effect on water - and that our body is made up of 80% water (so people argue that as our brain is within this body of water, the gravitational change could alter the alignment of molecules in the nervous system or some other rubbish)
Thing is, a recent study highlighted that a mosquito resting on our arm exerts more of a gravitational pull on our body than the moon does.
Secondly, the gravitational pull of the moon only effects wide open bodies of water - our brain, being in a contained body of water, is not affected.
All the major studies since the 50's have never correlated any claim of the full moon / lunar cycle having any impact on behaviour.
I think the fact that people "believe" probably has an effect on their decision making at the time of a full moon - as evident by this thread.
