Looking at the most recent company presentation it seems that our Zirconium chemicals are some way up the value chain - at least A$5,000 per tonne over 3 times base zircon.
The key reagent in the DREE manufacturing process is sulphuric acid - this would normally be made on-site from elemental sulphur, which is expensive. However close by we have the Peak Hill Sulphide Project which, with the increased gold price and significant credits for sulphuric acid (and some copper), now looks rather more valuable than we could ever have imagined.
