Stops are a means of protecting you from further substantial losses & a retail traders best friend. As a trader, its important to remember, that shares never, ever go up in a straight line...& that is why, since Nov 2015, I opted to build a freehold in LYC wherever possible so as not to sweat the machinations of Mr Market...capital protected, & able to let it ride. On this run, I added to my freehold buying in at 7.2 & selling a little too early @ 11.5...but, I was happy with the result. Now, stalking for the next opportunity.
