EddieB, The statement of mine which you draw such exception to sounds absolutely brilliant compared to your "We don't need REEs". That bit of tone-deaf nonsense was also a contextual flop since this is the Lynas forum and most are here because they see REEs like so many do: as critical materials. But not you, no, no, you're too smart for that. Go figure.

Lynas production is completely Japan's until 2038; they negotiated for and received priority access to all of Lynas current production, to all of Lynas's production increases that result from Lynas 2025 capex projects, to include specifically the expansion in KAL and to all of the output from the BLJV in Texas.
Lynas cannot offer any part of their production to anyone else without Japan's approval.
Lynas has strictly limited capex until they pay back Japan.
Lynas cannot offer a dividend until they pay Japan back.
The list of tie-ups is significant. I say "Japan owns Lynas" as shorthand and yes I strongly suspect that most everyone here knew that, as it is in fact quite obvious; I also suspect you're trying to show us how smart you are and it is basically another flop. Hopefully you get that now and we will have no further outbursts of "utter nonsense" out of you. Respect is the new MO. Drop your anti-BEVer attitudes while you're at it.

By the way, "Japan owns Lynas" is a very good thing in my opinion and I have remained a buyer as LYC has moved up, as Lynas has grown during adversity, and as Sino-Japanese JVs have expanded and as the EV Revolution has found new strength in solid numbers. I called for $4-$5 this year when LYC not even $2 last year. I would not have my money here otherwise; Lynas had become an interminable laggard. I have confidence in the market demand coming and have invested heavily in it. And so if I see another REE miner find cash to move into the REE market, I see it as a buy signal for LYC. If I see an EV-relevant aluminum, copper, graphite or lithium miner start or expand operations, that's a buy signal too. If I see any signs of growth or strength or building momentum in the penetration of DyTb-NdPrFeB into high-value apps and sustainable tech motors, that's a buy signal. ALL kinds of buy signals based on surging EV demand and political realities.

Lynas would not exist today were it not for Japanese largesse and strategy. I started buying the moment it became clear t me that they were going to insure Lynas. It's just reality. It's a win-win.

I'll have been in the ground a long time by 2038. What will be the factor that will allow LYC to truly break out?
