DJ MARKET TALK: French Mine Deal May Boost Lynas
0949 [Dow Jones] Investors likely to give Lynas (LYC.AU) shares an early lift after
company flags "stunning deal with a French company" to progress Mt Weld rare
earths project, Western Australia, ahead of 10am Sydney briefing. Said back in March was
seeking A$49.2 million to develop mine, China processing plant with view to begin mining
end 2005; primary target is europium, used in laptop screens. Lynas also has refinery
ambitions in China. (JAD)
