So basically for expansion Lynas is going to have to do a massive placement. They would most likely do this after the consolidation to clear the debt and fund construction of the new plant. They barely have working capital at present. So more dillution is coming and its not to far away either.

QUOTE="mmoore1957, post: 27750168, member: 186740"]In a recent LYC presentation the comment was made that the world will require ONE NEW LYNAS every 4 years to satisfy the increasing demand for NdPr. This translates into about an annual increase in NdPr capacity of about 1.500 tonnes. The time it takes to construct & commission a complex REE plant is 5-10 years so this suggests that CAPACITY EXPANSION by existing NdPr producers will be the most likely source of increased NdPr supply over the next 5 years. So I am increased to know if LYC can play a part in the capacity expansion strategy. I see a number of options:

    1. Increase NdPr product recoveries within the existing production lines.
    2. Add one or more new production lines within the existing LAMP and on existing site
    3. Add one or more new production lines connected to existing LAMP but on an adjacent site
    4. Build a new LAMP on an adjacent site
    5. Build a new LAMP in say SK or Japan.

I am not technically minded enough to understand LAMP's capacity expansion capabilities so I would appreciate hearing from anyone who does. Ta.[/QUOTE]
