The longer and lower the SP goes the more shares longs can buy so by definition a legitimate long would be happier the lower the price goes for longer.
Of course my analysis does not apply if the falling shareprice continues becuase the company is going bust and under this scenario longs would be pumping madly and trying to prevent any negative information getting public so they could try and salvage something by selling out to the unwary.
