If the waste needed to be removed, then I’m afraid lynas will be shut which is what WT, YBY and FS wanted. I doubt any company or business would want to buy into a dead refinery as no one will be able to ship WLP to. From what Dr M said, lynas can keep operating meaning he agreed that no countries will take on the waste but he still wanting lynas to be able to operate. So the only possible way is PDF in Malaysia.

One thing we have to agree is that there is a lot of WLP generated and even if it is safe, lynas will still need to get rid of this or stored it safely. Lynas is getting larger and more efficient and these byproducts are going to get even larger and may be at a faster rate. Of course if it can be commercialized then this will be the best option. I’m sure if you can mix WLP into NUF then this will be done already to create condisoil. Lynas has over 7 years at it and I doubt they are close to a solution.

Dr M ideas may not be bad as if lynas or lynas with the help of WES can create a primary plant in WA, then the majority of these waste can be buried back into the ground before leaving for Malaysia. It may be cheaper in the long run than keep building PDF.

I have a lot of shares in lynas and I believe that AL would have predicted this and she would have discussed this with WES.

There is a lesson learnt in all these mess. Next time before you built a billion dollar refinery in MALAYSIA, bribe both the government and the opposition.
