Some here are claiming Lynas agreed to relocate C&L to WA and only complained/appealed 4 years later. Not true on several levels. Lynas agreed to nothing; the conditions were imposed on them. They got the 3 year license renewal in Feb 2020 which freed their hand somewhat, but were still subject to court actions re judicial reviews by anti-Lynas parties of their operations as late as Aug 2022. In the meantime Lynas and friends such as the High Commissioner, US Ambassador, JOGMEG etc were lobbying like mad; you don't get a sympathetic hearing if you're simultaneously suing them! Finally this Feb, straight after the license renewal they lodged 2 court appeals against their license conditions since 1. they could guarantee ongoing operations and 2. it became clear that appealing to reason was pointless. I support their pro-active stance on these matters.
