Here they are again There are no similar efforts for Thorium just speculative paper ideas. There is nothing wrong with TH Just that Depleted uranium is so much cheaper and every country that has a nuclear program reactors or bombs is spending a lot to store it safely, Both DU and TH are very similar in radiation levels ad reactors to use them, It is just a $ thing and on that front DU wins. To dispose of it making power would help a lot. Guesses are there is enough DU to power the world for a couple of 100 years. Bill Gates ran a small test facility in WA for many years and is now building a commercial facility of 345MW in Wyoming at a site that was a coal powered plant.

Many people have used KAL. I agree that License was large negative over Lynas's head. What does it do to increase profits and revenue. Only thing that can do that is Finished, separated and high purity REO, in next 18 months. No one has even tried to answer this question in spite of me asking many different people.
