I have been quite open about selling a small parcel as I was confident that the gap would be filled. My main holdings are long. We all have our opinions about the market and trade accordingly. if I'm wrong I will lose a bit on a small percentage of my holdings but gain on the majority.
However large gaps like we have below are often filled... but not always.
