Companies usually only do a share buy back when they believe they can't make an effective return on employing excess capital.
If you have any belief in the potential of RE's, particularly satisfying the rapidly expanding BRIC middle classes, it will be many, many years before Lynas does a share buy back. Aside from growing basic production the opportunities for downstream value add are enormous.
More likely to see a share consolidation in conjunction with a NYSE listing circa 2015 than a buyback.
