That is interesting. In many ways I'm the opposite brainwise, I'm semi-autistic, a bit socially awkward, and have an extremely high reading speed. At around middle school age I totally stopped watching TV, not that I watched it much before that. I noticed that all the very rich people I knew (billionaires in today's dollars) only had a TV (color at that) in a side office where they would watch to see if the ads they payed for showed up at the appointed times. That was it. I also noticed that poor people seemed to have multiple TVs and their lives revolved around them. I figured there must be a correlation. In part because ANYTHING you do is more advantageous than watching TV.
A bit ironic also since I'm a long time full member of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers), ASSG (Australian Screen Sound Guild), and the AES (Audio Engineering Society). I also notice that the vast majority of my professional colleagues only watch brief parts of TV productions as part of their jobs but almost never for recreation.
