The ability for the private sector to build more houses/dwellings is under the purview of the States which controls building codes, release of land, stamp duty as well as provide social housing.
They have made it hard for private sector developers to meet the housing demand that a large influx of migrants brought in by their Federal ALP cousins have encouraged. Public housing has not been able to close the housing gap.
No doubt you will find a way to blame Abbott or Morrison for these blatant ALP shortcomings.
These ALP incompetent blowhards couldn't pour water from a boot if the instructions were on the heel
