This topic was raised a few months ago and there was confusion about it's prevalence in Australia. I remember someone saying that there was a GP in the Gold Coast treating it.
Seems the authorities didn't appreciate it and he has had restrictions placed on him. From The Australian:
THE national medical watchdog has taken action to restrict a Queensland GP from treating patients with Lyme disease, the tick-borne condition that medical organisations have been loath to recognise in Australia.
